Sessional Lecturer – Agriculture
- Salary: Hourly paid - FTE up to £37,512 (pro rata) (depending on qualifications and experience)

University Centre Sparsholt is looking to appoint a sessional lecturer in Agriculture, to work between one and three days per week.
The successful candidate will become part of our friendly and ambitious University Centre Sparsholt team. This academic role will involve delivering both theory and practical sessions alongside supporting and tutoring our degree students.
We are looking for someone with the academic and/or industry experience required to deliver courses to degree level students on topics including crop science and farm business management. Candidates with experience in broader areas would also be of interest. We would be happy to receive applications from those who are currently working in industry and who would be interested in lecturing part-time alongside this work, and as such we are flexible on the number of days worked per week.
University Centre Sparsholt has an extensive industry network through our cluster farm group and beyond, pioneering agri‑tech and wide‑ranging farming enterprises aimed at developing future-focused, innovative farmer. Our Home farm is 126 hectares and we have 175 hectares at other nearby sites. The facilities provide first-class resources for our degree students to learn about Agriculture and undertake research.
The post holder will ideally hold a recognised teaching qualification or be willing to attain this qualification through study provided by Sparsholt. All staff will engage in CPD and scholarly activity, and there are opportunities for personal development appropriate to the role.
